Far Cry Primal Sequel
Ubisoft New Product IdeaSubmitted 8 years ago
I have never bought a Far Cry game before, but there was something about Far Cry Primal that got my attention. I saw a video made by Wildcat on YouTube. In the video he was playing the game and when he used the owl for scouting, he called it "Vanoss mode." It made me laugh and I became more interested in the game. I bought it a couple days after release on the PS4. I loved the game, though it had some minor problems. First, the text was often hard to read. My guess is that the developers designed it for a larger TV and for gamers to be sitting close to it. Also feeding the beasts tended to difficult, as the prompt did not show up consistently.
I would love for Ubisoft to either make a extensive DLC or a sequel. I found the characters very interesting. The next game could involve major expansions in primal societal developments, i.e. the wheel, metal forging, farming, constructing buildings and so on. The potential is huge. The player could emphasize on beasts and/or technology. They could also include building rafts and then upgrading into simple boats, like AC Blackflag did. More weapon options would be nice too, i.e. cross bow, bio weapons (corpses and disease), and more. They should also introduce a stash for storing excess materials for upgrades and resupplying. The story could also be longer rather than relying on long periods of collecting supplies, dying and then trying again and again. Also make the difficulty setting mean something. I found myself playing FCP on expert and dying over and over again only to discover no reward for playing a harder difficulty. So I switched to normal and getting the highest ranking wolf beast became a whole lot easier. Also when you die, all the supplies you had at the check point should always be there, feels like a double punishment otherwise.
The new game or DLC could also expand into tribal warfare. Have the tribes encounter random battles or attacks on outposts, the main cave settlement and so on. Takkar would have to come defend his cave or captured territories. This could also lead into a multiplayer mode as well. Build up your settlement, weapons, tools and people. Join others or fly solo in epic caveman battles. Rely on simple weapons and beasts for combat or develop advanced weapons and skills.
