In store this kiosk you can scan items and some one will physically get the order and place the items on hold like you would normally do but you have a scanner gun and scan and drop items you want .they sign the terms and conditions put the money down to hold the items and leave with the receipt then you hire a layaway clerk to retrieve the items so they will be ready for pick up the thier no loss of Marchandise
I worked for Kmart for 34 yrs mostly as the HR Mgr but my suggestion to you is that you open the layaway dept all yr round . It is a money maker n just set the hrs from 9am till 8 pm . Let customers put ALL items in layaway we had a closed in area for expensive electronics ! You are always looking for ways to make more money this is it !
