Associates and managers would set a VPI like normal, but the company would split the profit margin 50/50. In addition, to inspire cross merchandising, employees would receive .5% for each item cross merchandised provided it isn't someone else's VPI. This gives employees a vested interest in the company's success instead of just considering it a job.
