Subaru should develop a swappable battery pack for their EVs. Most of the range capacity of the vehicle could remain integrated and not removable. If gas stations were able to install/remove pre-charged battery packs into EVs with a range of 150-200 miles per battery pack it would provide a sustainable business model for gas stations and allow the option of quickly charging an EV enough to travel with minimal interruption in a similar fashion to combustion vehicles. The battery packs could be swapped and exchanged in a similar fashion to propane tanks or other interchangeable hardware. The first entity to make this solution viable could have a huge advantage over competitors.
