Pull Out Floor For Back Of Subaru Outback

My kitchen pantry has pull out shelves that make it easy to reach the back, why can't Subaru so the same thing with the back floor of the Outback? It would make loading things like groceries, plants, etc much easier, pull it out, load it up and push it back in. And if you really want to beat the competition design it so you can leave the hatch up and pull it out, lock it in place and strap your kayak or paddle down for easy hauling............seems so simple to me.
