Dash cameras are a great video witness for accident investigations, car theft, vandalism, and road rage. I have personally used my cell phone to video aggressive road behavior that instantly deescalated when the aggressor realized they were being recorded. Having this technology in cars would be a nice security enhancement. They are becoming very popular as a third party upgrade to cars. Camera technology is better than ever, cheap, and simple to integrate into the rear view mirror and integrate with existing back up camera systems.
