Sony Ericsson Product Improvement IdeaSubmitted 8 years ago
Described here is a mobile phone, and a mobile phone attachment for detecting smoke and alerting the phone user and the appropriate authorities. Many lethal fire happen at night when people are asleep, and the standard smoke detectors fail to operate, usually because of flat or missing batteries, and because they are rarely tested and cleaned, they will have stopped working some one reason or another. Mobile phones are used by many people the world over. There are more SIM cards than the world population, and hence the mobile phone can be an effective fire detection and reporting instrument.
Described is a mobile phone and a mobile phone attachment that makes a mobile phone work as a smoke detector, fire alarm, and an automatic fire reporting system that uses positioning data to direct responders to the site of the fire.
A simple smoke detector circuit added to the mobile phone during manufacturing, or as an external attachment, and an app to monitor and raise an alarm plus to automatically report and alert select individual by voice calls, Email, texts and web postings can turn any mobile phone into an efficient life and property saver.
On detecting the fire, the phone raises an alarm to alert the user, and it automatically calls the Free Global Network. the Free global Network calls the user and asks him / her to confirm the fire outbreak by pressing a particular digit. If the fire outbreak is confirmed, it alerts the fire department and sends it the position data as well.
