Senseo Coffee Maker
Sara Lee Marketing Idea IdeaSubmitted 4 years ago
I just returned from Netherlands after living there for 2.5 years. I cried when I had to give up my senseo coffee maker (pads). I actually have been using the pad system at home and cottage (both in Canada) for about 10 years with a Bunn pad coffee maker but one has died and the other just does not compare with the quality of the coffee from the senseo machine (I get all my senseo coffee from the Netherlands whenever my husband goes there on business) . I have been extolling the virtues of this machine and the coffee pad system (compostable) for years and all my friends and relatives are annoyed that they cannot purchase the same here. Where was the Senseo machine years ago when all the other single serve machines hit the North American market and took over - there was no choice like this for the consumer here. The garbage from the single serve pods is crazy. The time is right to rethink bringing this machine to market here in a very big way. The only place I can get one is on Amazon US for 2x what I paid in NL or 3x if purchased from Amazon.ca and only in black. Please think seriously about this - just about everyone I know would purchase this - why not distribute thru Costco - I can imagine the huge sales of machines and ongoing sales of coffee pads when buying in bulk there. I would buy 2instantly and wouldn't have to get my coffee in NL.
