360° Watch

I'm submitting an idea which I will try to describe as briefly as possible, then expand on.

What it is: A smart watch with a flexible screen that wraps all the way around the wrist. The screen should detect motion and auto rotate so the image on the screen can be viewed from any angle. 360° watch, "Great for multitasking".

Note, the clasp will have to be redesigned to click in nearly seamslessly, or the illusion will be lost.

Additional features: expandable by using same click in clasp method to add another band or two and connect them, wider bands, screen customization, bluetooth earpiece pairing, longer range detection of phone signal, an alarm or ring that works via gps to sound when you are about to forget your phone at home or someone tries to steal it and goes out of a certain adaptable range, pulse detection right wear your pulse touches the device, fingerprint unlocking just when you put it on, sweat resistance, outerspace background for a futuristic touch, screens that can work together or seperatly, so one can be worn on each wrist for different purposes (maybe one tells time and gets messages and the other works more like a fit watch detecting heart beat and steps, or however they personalize it).

Acessories: click in wrist designs, akin to raised tattoes, ruffled or lace underbands, various border color underbands (basically mostly hidden, for a proffesionally subtle touch of color).

Encourage screen designers to engineer a stretchy screen a bit like fabric and you could make the flexible watches that much more comfortable.

Why it's important: I've seen flexible screens before, but I haven't seen them reach the consumer much. I think this may be the best use for that technology. Outside of that, people don't objectivly "need" a flexible tv or tablet, and while there are many people who will flock to anything futuristic, I think flexible tvs and tablets may see less sales than expected whenever they do roll out, unless there is a big promotion of them, which there likely will be. A smart watch would be changed completely by it though, and it might help smart watches to sell even better than they are selling now. To me, on top of being potentially very usefull, the idea seems genuinly cool, and cool sells. After the unfortunate exploding phone battery snafu, I can imagine samsung is in need of something different (something big) to take things to the next level, and maybe recover some losses, and this idea might do that, if they do it right. Samsung is a great company, and they should do it before apple gets their hands on it somehow (apple seems like they're chasing their tail looking for an idea right now too, getting ride of the headphone jack...smh)
