Cordless Tool Storage And Care

Ryobi New Product Idea

Submitted 1 year ago

Batteries lose power and longevity due to extreme temperatures.
Most people have their yard tools and mower stored in a shed or garage where ambient Temps range from freezing to 140°.
I have tried to protect my batteries but, being realistic, tools are no use if the batteries are kept inside a house far away from where and when you need them.
My solution has been to put the chargers and batteries in a slightly converted dormatory sized refrigerator. Batteries are charged and stored at 76°.
This has been cheaper than buying new batteries every 12-18 months. One 40volt battery cost more than the 'fridge.
Your engineers should be able to design a wall mounted multicharger box, using thermoelectric heat and cooling to maintain a battery saving environment.
(In my case, assorted chargers for various tools are mounted on pull out shelves)
