A Properly Toasted Bagel

I order my bagel double-toasted, and I have an image of how the bagel should look. Often it's too light or too dark. If too light, it goes back in the toaster and comes out dry. If too dark I ask for a replacement. (All of this causes a delay.) A photo posted near the bagel buckets, showing light-toasted, medium-toasted, and well-toasted would solve the problem. Number them 1, 2, and 3. For example, I might order an Everything bagel, #3. The cashier and I see the same image. No misunderstanding and no delay.
