Redesign The Carafe!

I own two Mr Coffee "Cafe Latte" machines.

I worry that they are a sanitary problem. There is a raised circle in the bottom of the carafe, I assume that is where the heating element is? There is very little space in the "mote" around the circle and the raised lip of the circle is almost impossible to clean.
I would keep these machines if I wasn't so worried about getting them clean but I don't want old milk hanging around in the bottom of the carafe.
I plan on replacing them with a different brand for the above reason.
Please consider changing this design and making the bottom flat and easier to clean.
