It is more portable than the vacuum cleaner but not as powerful. The purpose is for smaller jobs eg: creating dust and smaller debris such as plaster when fitting off a wallplate or those horrid internal ceiling tiles etc in offices. Make it cordless that way you use the same batteries as your tools and not the batteries that the existing with other rubbish that is on the market at the moment. Hopefully the home market will also recognise the quality of Metabo. This just an idea with the hope of Metabo marketing improving a smarter way to work.
