In light of global warming issues, and the growing awareness to steward our planet better, why not have a grocery section (small at first), that would sell food with zero waste. This entails little or no plastic bags and selling things in bulk. There are many examples of zero waste stores popping up. This, I believe in the long run would enhance sales at Meijer and not decrease sales, as more and more people care about the environment.
