Being a Mazda driver for many years the RX8 has always fascinated me. Would it not be possible to use the rotary engine in a similar way to a jet engine with enitial lift from downward jets. The intake when airborne then diverted through two rear exhausts which would not only control speed but also the steering, by means of partly closing a vent, or altering the power to left or right exhaust in order to turn left or right. I understand the the fuel to accomplish this would make it very difficult to achieve, but Mazda have a history of doing the unthinkable. With the new lightweight materials now available maybe solo power battery with turbo recharger
