Mid-weight Pique Polo/Sweat Shirt
LL Bean New Product IdeaSubmitted 2 years ago
I would like to advocate that LL Bean attempt to return a particular style and type of long-sleeved polo shirt to your catalog. After 30 years, I still have three of the shirts that were once offered yearly to your customers and they are just now giving up the ghost after being abused by a Maytag clothes washer all this time. The shirt fabric is a heavier type of Pique material and when worn feels like something between a regular polo shirt and a sweatshirt. The shirt has a polo style collar, so it can come off as being less casual than a collarless sweatshirt. The heavier fabric does not cling to the body the way a polo can, and a lighter shirt can be easily worn under it. A particular feature is that it does not have a shirt-tail like a standard polo, but is finished instead like a sweat shirt. That way it can be worn untucked but looks neat like a sweater or sweat shirt. I have attached three snapshots of one of my shirts to provide you with a visual aid for what I'm trying to describe. I have looked for these shirts in your catalog with disappointment every year since they were discontinued. Now that the three I have are on their last legs, you would make me and probably a lot of other boomers very happy if you brought them back. Thank you for your consideration.
