I live in Minnesota. Many of the LA Fitness branches in Minnesota leave the door open between the shower area and the locker room area. The custodians propped the door open permanently using wooden wedges so that the door is never shut. I think they do this because they get hot and sweaty while they're cleaning the toilets showers and hallway and want to let air conditioning into these hot humid areas of the club. The problem is this is not how Architects designed these parts of the building. These parts of the building have special systems of airflow designed to remove the moist air. When you open the door to the fitness center locker rooms which open into the fitness areas that allows all the hot steamy sauna and shower air to get into the club and it allows the air conditioned air to be vented out of the building this weighs a huge amount of money. It's also a hard-on all of the equipment I really would appreciate it if the club's would do something about this. However, so many times I have been farming the management that the doors need to be closed and why, and nothing changes. Sometimes comma my efforts result in a sign being put on the pool room door saying this door must be kept closed at all times. Well the sad thing is that there's no harm in having the door to the pool area open between the pool and the shower area but there is harm in having the door open between the fitness center exercise area and the hot and steamy shower area period it waste energy and makes exercising more unpleasant because of the hot and steamy air in the area.
