I stumbled across a 200 acre private lake subdivision near Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri a couple of years ago. In the process of buying some of the lots in this area I have heard many crazy stories and am currently dealing with some of them. The stories range from embezzlement, current real estate crimes, squatters, car theft and scrapping, burning people out, multi-family shootouts, drug making, explosions, attempted murder, fugitives and ex-cons in hiding and on the run to the current situation possible murder. It is the wild west in that area. I do have an attorney that is currently working on a situation that might be a felony that the president of the HOA is in on.
All of these stories compiled would make for a great miniseries or documentary.
