Get in the business of remanufacturing and selling homebrew, independent, and classic games and consoles. Strike a deal with Atari, Nintendo, Sony, Intellivision, Commodire, Sega, and Microsoft to remanufacture old consoles the way Analogue has remanufactured the SNES and NES using FPGA technology. Perhaps GameStop can strike a deal with Analogue to developers and distribute these newly manufactured consoles from the 80s and 90s. Also strike deals with TV manufacturers to produce CRT TV sets that can output the video of these old consoles in their old glory. Also strike deals with games publishers to remanufacture the games on the original game cartridges, CDs, or DVDs. The GameStop stores would be nostalgia heaven. I would definitely shop there. Perhaps rename the store to GameStop Legacy, Legacy Electronics Etc, or Legacy Software Etc to let people know that this is a new store focused on bringing back the glory of retro gaming.
