What Would Bring PC Gamers Into Gamestop?

GameStop New Service Idea

Submitted 7 years ago

PC gamers build their own pc's, and many are looking to upgrade something in their PC at least a couple times a year. Newegg and Amazon have a huge market for new product, but what do gamers do with their 'old' hardware (some of which is less than a year or two old)? Gamestop could be the perfect place for PC gamers to swap computer parts, test, and receive in store credits for exchanging hardware with other gamers.

Nobody likes meeting people at their home when it comes to parts that cost hundreds of dollars. Also, nobody wants to buy used hardware with the blind faith that it works. Gamestop could be that neutral gamers location that can facilitate trading of physical items. It builds trust, and Gamestop can allow users the time to evaluate (test bench, or basic kiosk for plugging in hardware).

Why not team up with a youtube channel that has a huge following to promote this as well? For example JayzTwoCents has close to 1 million subscribers, and recently had Terry Crews on his channel. Many steam users have hundreds of titles in their library, and I know my own library dwarfs the console games that I've purchases (I have less than 12 console games, and about 300 games in my steam and origin libraries). PC gamers are the life blood of the gaming industry.
