Honestly as high as cost are on vehicles , smaller designs should lower cost, imagine a Dodge Challenger shrunk down to a GM Camaro size, the grill of a Challenger shrunk down to a GM Camero size as to the full Challenger size, honestly will look more sporty than the Camero does .Ether gasoline or DC motor powered and IF auto manufacturers would take the time to engineer autos to where the body styles can be DC or gasoline powered via body styles one or he other, yet simply exchanging drive tran systems and gasoline tank or battery ,plus wiring granted suspension parts maybe different, floor plans maybe different for battery packs or transmission areas , yet IF engineering possible why couldn't maybe exchangeable floor plans yet same body styles be used? It will take some engineering yet maybe a savings of so many different production machinery's and loan run cost. IF gasoline drive tran desired , simply bolt it it place , If DC power tran required, simply bolt it in place , two wheel or four wheel drive systems.
