Increase driver side function and cool factor:

Just like an airplane cockpit, I think your touchscreen should pivot around to face the driver by three or 4 inches. This pivoting screen could fold back and remain flat or remove glare by pivoting forward. Other control panel items could also Be attached to this pivoting panel increasing the cool factor. It would feel more custom, like a cockpit and a real controlling seat.
