Hatch (Smaller Tailgate) Inside Original Tailgate

Having the tailgate is nice but hauling a small number of lumber, kayaks or other longer than the bed and tailgate down length is a hassle to have the entire tailgate down. If there were a smaller tailgate built inside the original tailgate, then you could have the items laying flat AND still utilize the rest of the truck bed for other items, i.e. boxes, groceries, etc. Also, inside the hollow part of the small tailgate, would be an attached cargo net that would securely keep those longer items inside the truck bed. And when not in use, the cargo net simply shoves down inside the hollow part of the small tailgate. All this while still having the function of the original tailgate for large items and recreational toys.
