Lite Duty Table Brackets For Workstand #DWX725

Dewalt Product Improvement Idea

Submitted 5 years ago

These brackets would be identical to #DW7231 (miter saw mounting brackets) only with the clamping mechanism CENTERED instead of offset. It would be so nice to attach four of these bracs to a 20x48" scrap piece of subflooring for use as a light duty work table or to fasten small power tools that don't hang out the back like a miter saw does. Also, the brackets would need a clip or tab to keep them "Open" for when using more than two such as with a job site table top. The to-be table top would be placed face down with bracs (say 3 or 4) facing up, the clamps locked "Open", and stand #DWX725 put in place with legs out. The clamps would then be unlocked and allowed to close. With the assembly inverted we now have a light duty, very portable, work surface.
