Better Architecture For Bing Images
Bing Product Improvement IdeaSubmitted 7 years ago
I create desktop tiles from Bing Images. In other words I download them, size them to fit the monitor, outline them and tile them.
Images in Bing are associated with a variety of "Image Search Names", e.g. Abstract Art Prints, Contemporary Art Prints, etc.
Each Image has an Image Location and an a Link Location.
Here's the issue ... Some images have multiple link locations. I'm a retired data architect and think that the Image Link Location should be stored ONCE and associated with multiple search criteria/categories (I call them contexts).
Here's an example:
23-Jun-15
Image Search: "Abstract Collage"
Image Link Location:
https://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?&id=OIP.M7714949aa75f13eb6e655d7e2f466cb4o0&w=300&h=300&c=0&pid=1.9&rs=0&p=0&r=0
Image Search: "Abstract Flower Art Mixed Media Plaster"
Image Link Location:
https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=Abstract+Flower+Art+Mixed+Media+Plaster&view=detailv2&&id=7FF5979B03227ABF7C0D87C24EBAEC31E91769E0&selectedIndex=592&ccid=dxSUmqdf&simid=608029153819099278&thid=OIP.M7714949aa75f13eb6e655d7e2f466cb4o0
Thus the same Image has multiple Link Locations, it should be stored once and referenced many times for each search name/criteria.
You'd save space and I'd know if I already had that image so I didn't duplicate the image. Win-Win :)
