Motorcycle Gear
Academy Sports and Outdoors Product Improvement IdeaSubmitted 2 years ago
In large markets, motorcycle riders can find gear (helmets, gloves, jackets, trousers, boots, shirts, and armor for clothing. In smaller markets where the population is say less than 250 - 500,000 people these products are largely unavailable. Bike dealers will carry a little, but it's always constrained. So riders of all ilks, touring, around town cruisers, sport bike and "dirt bike" riders are uniformly under-served. Harley shops tend to carry such items, but if you don't ride a Harley Davidson, or are a sport bike rider, they have very little that applies. I think Academy would be well positioned in the smaller markets, and likely even the larger markets to sell this gear, and adjust the product range seasonally.
