New Wrist/Arm Cast Design

3M Product Improvement Idea

Submitted 9 years ago

This is my new design of a wrist or arm cast. I recently broke my wrist and was told that it would take 4-5 weeks to heal. I was thinking, that's pretty long. So I came up with an idea that would make the break in the bone immovable. The reason why I thought of this was because I can move my wrist slightly in The cast, so that's when I came up this idea!! So this design has four 8 inch long titanium strips, that line up with the sides, bottom and top of the wrist. For In a result of that, your joint in your wrist or the break will be immovable. The strips of titanium are fastened by cloth tape to the wrist itself. Then the rest of the cast is the original way of molding a cast. If you have any questions about my product or idea, please email me at [email protected]!! Thanks! Please consider this!!
