The remote locator is specifically for remotes for TVs. It is something that you can attach to the remote or something that can be placed into the remote and the TV. The device should send off a beeping sound to locate the tv remotes location. And you can do this by simply pressing a button on the back of the TV to locate it. So that way you won't have to worry about finding, losing, or replacing the original tv remote.
