Samsung Watch And Smartphone Cooperation
Samsung New Product IdeaSubmitted 8 years ago
I think that in terms of wearables, notably with the Gear S2, Samsung is leading in the market. However, there is something that I am missing in it. You already have an eSIM verion, which I love. Though, if I have a phone and a Samsung watch, I would not necessarily want 2 phones, combined contract etc. Here is my suggestion. The phone and the watch work on the same number and depending if they are within reach of each other or not, either the phone gets the call and then through bluetooth or another mechanism also indicates it on the watch, as it does it today. However, if phone and watch are too far from each other other, automatically the phone would receive the call through it's eSIM. The phone and watch would notices when they are far or close. Let's say, I go running then I would not necessarily want to carry my phone with me, or I went to a nearby shop and accidentally left my phone at home, I still would want to my calls to reach me. Also would I prefer to have one number that people know I can be reached on. And I would prefer to have just one subscription with the carrier. I am sure that a lot of people would appreciate such a functionality.
