Actually this is an idea about what can be called as a 'smart home '.We need to attend many instruments inside our houses.While a few of them like washing machine and micriwaves etc.have inbuilt timers to switch them off after a given set time has elapsed.A bathroom Geyser has a thermostat and even an electric iron has means to cut off power when not in use.
A few others like LPG burners have NO such mechanisms can give you a very uncomfortable travel if you just can not recall while aboard a flight that whether you have switched it off properly or not.
Similarly ungrilled windows or the door backyard left unlocked or bolted can give you give a creepy feeling in the mid of night.For new weds living with small kids alone in desolate areas it is really frightful.
But it will require a 'complete set ' of sensors and softwares to remotely monitor and lock or switch off such devices .
I think samsung will require launching an entirely new company selling SMART LOCKS and SAFETY DEVICES for the futuristic SMART HOME.
Each smart lock or switch will have inbuilt sensors and may be some minute caneras too to help the user monitor there OFF status through their mobiles and computers remotely.
A word of caution too.
There should NOT be any remotely ' SWITCHING ON 'position or else some body may plot sabotage remotely.
