Many disabled people are unaware that they are exerting pressure on their body for longer periods than abled bodied people.
This pressure can cause skin breakdown (Pressure sore) which in turn can cause a costly long recovery time and sometimes lead to death.
If any technology company could make a publicly available pressure matt/film that could measure pressure intensity and Alert the person using the device of any prolonged pressure. this could be done via cell phone or nursing computer interfaces.
if it was possible and added feature would be to send a vibration to the mat.
Either way it could alert the person that pressure relief is needed.
This is a preventable problem that could take the strain off medical aid companies, hospitals, families and their loved ones.
