Multiple vertical doors running the full length of the Refridgerator that pull straight out like a drawer. the doors could range from 8" to maybe 12". This is not a new idea for food storage in general. There are many narrow cabinets out now that are accessible from either side and allow you to store 1 or 2 items on either side. The idea is that you eliminate the depth and therefore everything is visible. It would also probably save energy because you would not need to open a huge door. You could decide the temp of each unit on the most expensive versions and even have a place to label what is in each compartment (maybe through the use of an app and a small LED screen on each door).
