A camera should be place on any side and any position on the phone. So it would able you to hold you're phone in steady and firm position while it gives you a easier way to look up and beware of surroundings while you're phone remains steady and firm in you're hand. It also allows you to lay you're phone flat on top of something while you record or take a photo. You wont need stands or anything to support it so don't have to worry about it falling or trying to find something for support.
