Hardly anyone uses home phones anymore however, there are some good deals for landlines. Currently we have unlimited calls to america from the UK. The only time we use the house phone is to use this deal. I was annoyed that i had to pay out for a house phone just to make one or two calls a week. Then an idea hit me. It would be great if there was a cable that you could connect to your mobile and then plug into the house phone socket, which then turns your mobile into the house phone using your landline. Once the call is done simply unplugg the mobile phone for it to become a mobile phone again. I would much prefer to pay around 5 for a cable that does this instead of paying out for a house phone that just sits there.
