Charging + Battery Life

Samsung Product Improvement Idea

Submitted 6 years ago

Since leaving your phone still plugged in can damage your battery or shorten the life of it, we should design a mechanism in the phone that blocks the charging once complete. For example, if I plug in my phone at 9:00 before I go to bed, and it gets fully charged around 2:30 then a little piece in the phone goes in between the charger and the charging port (the part the sends a current to the battery to charge) to save the battery. If the battery loses "power storage" then it will slide back and continue charging until its back at 100%. This could save our batteries and bring more happiness to the consumer, therefore more money for the market.
