Instead of washing restaurant windows every day, clean windows thoroughly then apply a product such as "Rain X" to the glass...it will work on plate glass just as well as on automobile windshields ... to repel rain, dust, bug, and other glass staining substance...
The windows could be washed only weekly (perhaps even 3 times monthly) instead of daily saving both water, and manpower.
