McDonalds Product Improvement Idea

During a recent visit to a local McDonalds with my nephew ..on purchasing a happy meal for my 3 year old nephew I noticed when sat down in the restaurant drinking his small cup of Coca Cola that he was struggling to drink this from the table due to the length of the straw (almost double the size of the cup) ..would it be more useful to have smaller straws for children to make it a tad easier to consume the drink and be less awkward ? Also straws that cannot be easily chewed and broken up by children chewing them which many do I'm sure..possible health and safety due to choking on small pieces of plastic if chewed and broken off?
A suggestion some harder plastic smaller straws ?
