It seems like a no brainer to me. Offer customers a No Added Salt option! It doesn't cost the restaurants anything and it's a healthier option for the customer. Plus.. the fries are still delicious!
I've gotten lucky a couple of times in my life to catch the fries and the employee at just the right time to request No Salt. The fries are still amazing and I felt a lot better about eating them.
Take this idea and run with it! I want nothing from you.
