Eatable Straws - Idea From Middle School Students In Kissimmee

At a lunch bunch social skills group, two students were playing with Twizzlers using them for straws for their milk carton. We discussed how MdDonalds has been researching ways to reduce plastic waste. We concluded McDonalds should team up with Twizzlers to created eatable straws in different fun flavors. They could even upcharge for flavors. If anything were to come of this idea I would love for my students to get the credit for it. They are awesome kids that could use a positive outcome. Thank you!
