Fee For Picking Up Far Away Passengers!

Lyft Service Improvement Idea

Submitted 6 years ago

I am surprised this is not already in effect. As a driver, there are times when I drive 10 miles to pick someone up, then drop them off 3 min away and drive back 10 miles. If I decline the ride, my acceptance rate will go down, if I accept it, I am wearing off my car for the low pay. About 90% of riders do not even tip.
If I am driving 10 miles and only getting $4 after Lyft Fees, there should be a way to make it up. Let us know in advance how much the ride will pay so we can do a pro and con analysis.
The system as it is, is extremely against drivers; considering 25% Lyft Fees, unpredictable pay and getting paid pennies for driving far far away.

Please give this suggestion an upvote so they take immediate consideration of the issue!
Thank you!

Totally agree!! I'm based in Denver, and I have picked up a few rides from here to Colorado Springs. That can be either an hour and half to two hours one way! I've heard of people driving all the way passed Vail too.

I agree 100%. I will be in Modesto Ca and get a call to drive 30 min away not knowing if the person is just going 3 miles. Then another 30 min back to origin. NOT REASONABLE
