It would be a big safety improvement to add heated led headlights as standard for North America. I drove with my 2016 Rx 350 through a snow storm in Canada and my headlights were packed with nasty snow. I couldn't see anything. I had to stop at the nearest gas station and clean them. The led light it is very good but they are becoming a life threatening alternative. I recently bought for my semi truck, two 20" heated led bar for the same reason. It has a temperature sensor built in and it doesn't allow snow to accumulate on it. I just tested them, one was off and the other on. The working one didn't have any snow and the other was packed. I turn on the packed one for a few minutes and they snow melted away. I noticed that there are some aftermarket heated led headlights for semi truck but not for cars.
