Hotel Toaster Challenge!

I'm a 54 year old fmcg wholesale buyer, not a science undergrad, that would like to propose a solution to a relevant problem.

Hotel toasters. They take an age and never toast your bread the way you like it, it has to be a frustrating experience for millions across the globe.

My solution, Dyson mini turbo fan technology blasting across a heated element onto both sides of the bread. Toasting time is rapid and consistent, the degree of toasting is differentiated by the turbo speed and element heat, not time.

The toaster is a small, insulated, and modular unit with a small number of buttons rather than a dial to determine the level of toasting. Hotels would link the toasters dependent on covers. The modular link would include electrical connectivity too.

In addition to the commercial use, there is huge potential for consumers in a hurry in the morning as well as for gadget freaks.

Commercially, a range of colours works to match Kitchen ambience.

I would be very surprised if this hasn't been identified as a problem previously or if a similar solution hadn't already been proposed, but am surprised that it hasn't been brought to market. I'm not entirely qualified to see the idea through to design stage but my daughter has just aced her second year at Liverpool University studying Product Engineering and Design and is on her way to a Chinese University in September for an additional year of study before returning to complete her degree and I know see can complete the project for you.
