EasyKlick

Dyson New Product Idea

Submitted 5 years ago

Hi
I am looking to sell/licence a design of mine. I have recently had notification of 'Full Patent'. I have enclosed a slideshow of the patent. There are additional images that could be sent if you wish. The pitch is:

Easy Klick makes putting a seat belt on easier. At present now putting a seat belt on means, twisting from the bottom of the back and pulling the (male) part of the belt from head height across the chest. This is an awkward movement and puts many people off using there belt and therefore travelling safely.

Easy Klick is: simple to fit, simple to understand, simple to use. Easy Klick works on both sides of the care with all seat belt orientations and uses quick release mechanisms to make the product simple and efficient to use

Easy Klick locks in to Isofix points and in the front seats, a secure strapping is provided as an alternative means of securement. As pointed out, the twisting, turning and pulling movement of the driver or passenger that is needed to put a belt in place can be a big inconvenience, especially if you're old or large in size. With Easy Klick this awkward movement is eliminated. Easy Klick works by repositioning the head height 'male' element of the seat belt into a place of greater ease of movement.

Now with Easy Klick the car user pulls the belt across his or her lap and chest. This action now becomes as easy as using an aeroplane lap belt, and with Easy Klick the security of the three point anchorage of your car seat belt is still in place. Easy Klick does not interfere in any way with the efficiency or safe operation of the seat belt. The whole purpose of Easy Klick's ease of use is to encourage seat belt usage and with this in mind we firmly believe that bodies such as National Safety Standard Organization's would endorse and support Easy Klick.

Furthermore, there could be demand from particular organisations (Postal/Delivery Vehicles) etc. for it to be used in vehicles regards its, not only safety aspect but also health with regards back problems caused by the application of seat belts now. A Social Return On Investment - looking at the savings from days off work caused by back ache/pains using the traditional way of seat belt usage could be carried out to support the patent's sales.

Regards,

Francis Kenny (UK)
