The optimum temperature on the cool side of a dc controlled peltier heat sink is dew-point calculated from input ambient air relative humidity and temperature of the fan assisted air flowing across it something that also prevents water droplets from freezing. The amount of dc current is also reduced making for a more efficient appliance. By coating the heat sink in a super water repellent or Hydrophobic film, metal contamination of the water is reduced and heat transfer improved.
