Coronovirus Air Sanitation Using UV-A

Dyson New Product Idea

Submitted 3 years ago

Filtering coronoviruses is difficult due to the small virus size, which limits filter lifetime. However there are UVA LEDs and small UV-A flourescent tubes both of which are cheap and can be easily battery powered.

The invention is an air sanitiser where air is blown by a small (cpu like) fan over a UVA source, possibly spiralling around it to lengthen the path the air is in contact with the source. The air sanitiser would be small and battery powered making it easily portable. The air sanitiser could connect to a PPE hood so it was under slight positive preasure supplying only sanitised air to the wearer.
