Unlimited Warfare

I think an interesting Call of Duty game would be to have a series that goes through warfare across time.

I'm not talking time travel here. But rather, you play different characters at vastly different points in history, all during periods of war (thus very different weapons). The overarching plot has all the elements connected by, perhaps, some secret that's been hidden throughout history.

So each segment of the game has your character involved in helping either preserve or try to uncover this secret.
