You get to choice your path in all the games but there are some people that want all the upgrades so they can beat the game with good powers and mix and match them. Also, have a new upgrade system that allows you to fight like in the Legend of Spyro series. Instead of having three attacks, why not more but limits on them like no jumping in the air unless you hold down the attack button for melee. And different types of elements. Like Ice should have Ice, not be classified as water -- sure it is frozen water but it is not the liquid form because ice is solid. Make Ice, Lightning, Psychic and Metal. And believe me, Psychic is not Magic.
