Back To The Roots

Activision New Product Idea

Submitted 7 years ago

I think with the success of Battlefield one, historical combat games are back in demand. I strongly believe Activision needs to back to their roots and make a WWII game. A good WWII game hasn't really come out since the last one. This should come with the classic Nazi Zombie mode. Possibly portray German resistance under Nazi regime, show alternative perspectives and daring scenes not featured before. Maybe a nostalgic D-Day mission. I think the game should be primarily based around the insignificance of the individual player and more about teamwork and large numbers, especially in the campaign, going against recent formulas which are getting a little dull. If the campaign also could feel more like an actual fight that you may not win and not just a path that needs to be followed that would be excellent as well. Being able to have some freedom in the decisions so long as the orders are still being followed, potential side objectives like being a message runner etc. Take advantage of the lesser technology. I think with these basic ideas the game would be a smashing success and help revive the COD franchise. Vietnam War may be a mistake because of the feel of that war and its politics. WWII was the 'good war' remember.
