Serious Project Idea

Activision New Product Idea

Submitted 3 years ago

I have an awesome idea for a new game you guys could produce (I saw that RedOctane was shut down a long time ago so I figured this might be a good place to start). Remember how much of a hit Guitar Hero was on consoles? Have you heard of the game Osu!? This game allows the player to play songs, called beatmaps, as a form of aim training with mouse and keyboard tracking of "notes". I have seen big streamers and pro esport players use Osu! to warmup. So my idea is to make Guitar Hero Reborn, which features songs from the guitar hero games that were already made for consoles. You could have the songs played by beatmap like in Osu! on mouse and keyboard or have the option to switch to a wireless and rechargeable guitar (controller) like vintage guitar hero and play the same songs with regular notes. All on your computer! You could sell the game on the Steam store or Battle.net for like $20 and then, when it takes off, you could add 10$ DLC packs of more songs and sell the new pc guitar controller separately on your website! Think about the Twitch personalities that would make this game sky-rocket immediately. I can only imagine someone like Ninja or Timthetatman playing Through the Fire and Flames on stream and how entertaining it would be. I would love to be in touch for a serious business inquiry here if you think it could work. I believe this game would be huge for warmup and entertainment purposes. I would love to be a part of the process in any way I can or at least have a small stake in it.

Thanks for your time,
Curtis Jones
