Flashback 1 (new Game Idea)

Activision New Product Idea

Submitted 6 years ago

Summery: you play as a traumatized, PTSD stricken navy seal veteran on his journey to fight ISIS as he is assisted by ghosts of isis victim.

opening plot: The game opens with a playable flashback of him visiting a VA therapists' office. He asks him to recall his last mission. This opens into the game play where the player is introduced to various game play mechanics including combat, customizing equipment, commanding AI assistance, and planning mission tactics from a pre-round area map interface. The mission ends with the main character getting traumatized. Then you play his domestic memories of visiting places like grocery stores where he has a PTSD trigger which results in seeing ghosts. Then you play going to the VA hospital to visit the therapist and on your way through the facility you see ghosts surrounding other veterans from various wars. So some ghosts look like they're from Vietnam, world war 1, world war 2, and other instances. He believe he is hallucinating and the therapist agrees, and proscribes him medicine. He takes the medicine, passes out, and in his dream sees a battle scene from a ghosts' perspective. One of the ghosts tell him not to take the medicine if he wishes to maintain his contact to the spirit realm and promises to help him uncover the identity of a leader in ISIS he sees in his dream. Upon waking he questions what he should do as he receives a call that he is needed for a special mission to locate the ISIS leader from the dream.

Main game play mechanic: Meet ghosts who give you information to solve the mystery of locating the ISIS leader by tracking down members of the cell at various degrees of hierarchy. Also, learn stories from ghosts that humanize the situation / tell history of the middle east to educate gamers while giving them content to discuss on social media to allow for multi-platform engagement with the game world.

Online component: PvP: Isis vs Allies, additional component: ghosts give you sentimental items which you then give to other ghosts to unlock their non main-campaign relevant flashbacks. Items can be traded online like pokemon. Players get special equipment for PvP through completing all the flashback sequences.
